I remember a certain individual on my friends list (hee hee) who boasted the pretty design he made in the lattes at his work.. Well, my friend.. do I see your handiwork in the following, perhaps?

That aside, I went for a three hour bike ride today, towing Gabezilla along.
I have a few notes for the City of Brantford:
Potholes need to get fix before they become sinkholes taking up half the road.
Dead-end trails are not cool. Know how hard it is to back up a bike trailer with a 50lb three year old in it? Not fun.
Please, a sign or some kind of warning when a trail is crossing or running near tracks would be appreciated. I think I nearly pissed myself when the damned thing blew its horn.
In other news, Harvey escaped his cage again. A few mornings ago, I found him in the corner of Gabes' room, happily making a nest of dirty socks and fluff, with some lost elbow noodles, dried fruit of some kind and some kitty kibble all collected neatly. He was not impressed when I put him back in his cage. Need to duct-tape his cage together or something. He's always finding loose bits and exploiting it. How he survives all these six-foot falls I'll never know.
One 'escape' was our fault. Both Kev and I were tired, and we left him in his yellow ball all alone for a few hours. Kev woke up to the sound of something rolling, and found him in the bathroom, still in his ball. He slept soundly all that day. :D
Max needs to get neutered. Stat. He's repeatedly humping poor Harlequin, and he's making a nest in the corner of his room. So far it's two posters that were garbage anyway, a few loose socks, a t-shirt, a kleenex box and a pillowcase. Silly bunny.
Now to put Gabe BACK in bed, and finish off my ice cream and Baileys.

Also, second day of taking Gabe to/from daycare on the bike is over.
Knees: better, but still v. angry with me for the hills.
Arms: The right one is not so sore, the left one is still trying to remember the proper signals.
Legs: Pumpin!
Butt: Threatening legal actions if a new seat that cushions them properly is not found ASAP.
Comments on how a bit of pain is good for building muscle and character are rebuffed with
curses and mutterings of recruiting the knees for a strike.
Gabe is otherwise enjoying his morning and afternoon ride.
Now to figure out dinner.

So it's a decent spring day. Sunshine, warm enough that you don't need a winter jacket, and there's not much of a cold wind to remind you of the snow still sitting around.
I thought "Hey, today is a nice day to take out the bike trailer and use it to get Gabe to daycare instead of being lazy and getting a ride"
And so I did. Both to and from daycare.
My bum, knees and arms are sore >_< I am so out of shape. Totally doing it tomorrow if it's not raining. And the day after. Because despite the soreness, it was good for me *nod*
Now I must go play Super Mario Galaxy, because his Royal Pain In my Ass demands it today.

But not much.. so nyah.
Work is slow, and I'm getting more than a little sore from doing random 'busywork'. Srsly. How many times can I sweep the floor without losing what sense I had?
So this morning I overheard some people discussing why a Pineapple -which does not in fact look or taste like an apple- is called thus. And I learned some french today. The French word for pinecone is "pomme de pin" - pine apple. Though I probably learned that ages ago back in grade school, my memory of it is fairly fuzzy. :P
While browsing metaquotes, I also found more french words that now shall make me giggle in this post. HEE HEE! (now wants to name a warlock "AbatJour" or "Nécrologie" (with an e and not the é, as Warcraft Does Not Like Those Things and Will Likely Ban Your Fat Ass))
Also, Quilty Goodness! I cannot wait for it. It shall be V. Pretty. So expensive.. but PRETTY! :D
As an aside, I need to get to Tdot to hook up with people for fooding. And crepes.
Now I must go make dinner for Gabriel and Myself. Daddy is working. Bleh.
Edit:
Dear Snow:
WTF. You'd better stay for at least a week, or else I get Angry. We wants to make a snowman.
Sincerely,
Me.

Before FoodTV and such, there were only a few cooking shows I'd watch.
Wok with Yan(Some very punny eps and aprons :D), Yan Can Cook (He does APPEARANCES? OMG! :D) and Urban Peasant.
Sadly, Mr. Urban Peasant died a few days ago....
*sniff*
I want to make one of his signature soups as tribute. Mebbe next weekend.
No other news, aside from avoiding shopping because of the crazy let loose at any shopping area. *twitch*

For almost ten years, I've tried to get a mastercard. ANY credit card, for that matter.
I come home from work yesterday, Kevin comes down the stairs to greet me and goes "I'm so jealous!" and thrusts a card at me.
It's a BMO mastercard. With a 2k limit. Which I applied for two months ago, on a lark.
WTF.
Danger, Will Robinson. DANGER!
Now I go back to napping. Bai!

... and until today, I never realized how long I've been on LJ. >.> <.
Still no news about my mom, since there's no call nor is there an answer at their house. Can't reach their cellphone, either. I guess I have to wait.
Now, on to the bunny stuff.
Kevin, there's one black, one grey and three white/brown kits. They are five days old, and doing well. Do we want one, or two?
Also, I found a vet in our area that is experienced with rabbits(for the purpose of spay/neuter). I'll be giving them a call in a few weeks to see about the cost of spay/neutering, so we's can be prepared, yes? (Out Colbourne St West, according to Google Maps™)
Now, a question to
sarcasm_hime(or other bunny-owners on my flist):
Aside from the size of cage, what sort of supplies should we gets for ze bunny? I've got six weeks to buy all the supplies, and I want to be prepared :)
Now back to Gabe-wrangling, because I promised him a trip to the park.

Kevin: Be careful, ok?

Now we'll have to see how well Gabe does in daycare. Depending on the report I get, Gabe may be making regular posts again.

So, updates once again.
I have a six-month contract with Fererro, starting September 9th and going until March 9 2008. Whee. Basically means I can get fired at any time, still get treated like crap, but I get 14.85 an hour and a brown uniform to make up for it. Fun breeze! :P
On the plus side, there is a decent chance of getting hired on full-time after the six months, which means another pay raise, and they'd need a really good reason to fire me. Here's to hoping!
Gabe will be starting Daycare on Tuesday. If you haven't read
sierralads or
sandwichboys journals, you'd not know that they'd be leaving, and thus requiring me to find aformentioned Daycare. They'll be going to Newfieland, looking for shinies and trying to avoid the locals. :D
As an aside, nearly $30/day is apparently CHEAP for daycare. I hear of people paying over fifty dollars a day, and that's even when their child isn't GOING that day. Just to hold a spot. I'm in the wrong line of work >.> <.<
For those of you who read Gabe's journal, nothing has been posted because, aside from the daily destruction, there isn't much to write about. Aside from him learning to call Phil 'Baka'. Much to everyone's amusement here. Also, he believes that the home-made play-doh is mighty tasty. Might have something to do with the fact that the 'colouring' is orange kool-aid powder. :P
I think that's about it. Now I need to get a grocery list and then shopping. With Gabe. This will be an adventure, I'm sure.

Currently, in my fridge, are 240 Ferrero Rocher sitting in my fridge. 96 are spoken for.
(translation: There are 5 48 packs of Rocher in my fridge, and two are purchased for other folks)
Normally, these retail for $18 or thereabouts in stores. We was allowed to purchase up to five today for two dollars apiece. All because they have little problems like not enough milk chocolate coating, or the wrapper isn't on right.
THEY STILL TASTES GOOD YES!!!!
So yeah. Still a temp. But chocolate goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood
That is all :D

Not that much new is going on in these past eight weeks...
Cripes... it's been THAT long? *shifty eyes*
Allright, point-form time!
- I've been trained on the TESCO Lines where I work, which means, feasably, I could run any bit of the machine, aside from the Auto-pack out. w00t is me. Except I'm not the fastest on the line, so I'm back to working other bits in Tic-Tac. Boo. Ah well. People take vacations. They will need me bwahahahahahaha...
- Gabe grows. He has a journal too at
gabe_zilla! It's friends-only, though. I needs to make a banner for it *nodnod*
- I have flowers on my balcony, including a little bitty Butterfly Bush!
It's not exactly as shown. To be honest, I have no idea what colour it is, but I'll find out!
- We has a nice table and chairs on the balcony too. Not that we use the balcony much. But we will! Yays!
- My dads' cousin and her husband/kids are visiting from Germany. Last weekend they arrived, the three of us visited. Muchos language barrier problems, seeing as my uncle only speaks Hungarian/German, my Aunt speaks Hungarian/German and passable slavic, and of the two kids, Ricarda, the 16yo girl, speaks enough english to be able to have a decent conversation with. Dominic just started learning english in school, so it's a lot of pantomime and such, but he's getting much better. We introduced him to A&W Root beer, and he LOVED it! Especially when we explained to him that it does not in fact have alcohol nor caffeine.
- There is nothing quite as amusing as seeing my new-found cousins go bug-eyed as we wander the vast variety of foodstuffs at Zehrs. We take for granted our year-round availability of fruits/veggies, not to mention all the ready-to-eat and 'look, just pop it in the oven and Voila! Dinner is made!" stuff.
- What is a proper 'Canadian' Breakfast? This, I want to know. My mother thinks it involves pancakes, maple syrup and coffee. I think it's a Tim Hortons Coffee and a donut of your choice. I'm sure Kevin believes it involves bacon. Lots of it. Ideas?
- I am SO FREAKIN' TIRED of the SAME FREAKIN' episodes of Gabes' shows on Treehouse. We have it on for background noise for him while he's rampaging, and it's always the same episodes every day :( VARIETY YOU @#$@$#$%^%$&%^*$%^#$%@!!!! *seeth*
- I need to finish getting ready, my parents will be here soon. I'll make sure Gabe makes a post or two while we're visiting my parents and such.\
Oh, and before I forget(again)
TIGGY!!! *HUUUUUUGE HUGS* I'm sorry things crapped out on you. I really am. You need cookies and snuggles!

Allright. So a few folks (All of what, two? Three?) like hearing Gabe updates. So, I shall oblige!
Hrmm, that's about it. He's on the wait-list for three half-days of daycare, and I'm back at fererro for the time being.
Now for my breakfast!
- Gabriel somehow managed to split his left thumb open (on the knuckle before the nail) without saying much. We only noticed when he came over to me going "ouch... mummy ouch..." and showed me the red and pusy knuckle. Two days of childrens polysporin/bandage changing every two hours later, and it's just fine. Still wondering how he managed to cut it open in the first place.</br>
- Kevin has discovered that Gabriel can read at least a few words already. Noteable "Kitty" as displayed with all the credits when putting in the Ranma Season 2 discs for Gabe to watch. (He calls for it saying "Lamma!" and brings us the discs, how can we deny him?).
- Kevin has also noticed that Gabe has taken to sitting on the toilet and looking expectantly back at him for something to happen. Potty training ahead!
- This morning, Gabe has done something verbally he's not done before (in front of me). He's made a sentence! Ok, so it was two words "Ball stuck", but it was a sentence! Hooraj!
